Copy of the Giovanni Paolo Maggini Viola, 16.5"

An impressive work.  Powerful and lush tone with a rich affluence of chamber and table response.  Two-piece flamed maple back with fleur-d-lis inlay and double purfling.  This particular viola was acquired in 2013 in Los Angeles at the NAMM show on demo from Century Strings and written favorably about in a 2012 critique in Strings magazine.  It is the C.L. Wynn model C520 set up exclusively for debut with Evah Pirazzi Gold strings and Wittner tailpiece.
